it was only last year that designer isabel toledo was hired by the jones group to turn the stagnant house of anne klein into the high priced fashion house it had been in its heyday. after two season, toledo had just done that by injecting her signature artsy vibe into traditional american fashion. now comes news that the jones group is dropping the runway line to focus on the lower priced collections where they feel "the real business lies".
it's a joke really, toledo is the only thing that was giving anne klein any kind of credibility in the fashion world. lets hope she can follow in the footsteps of olivier theyskens who marvelously rebounded at the house of nina ricci after his former house, rochas was shut down last year.

OMG! I LOOOOOVE Olivier Theyskens!!! I was so sad when Rochas crumbled. :-( But Olivier has risen again!!! Interesting that Anne Klein was once a high-fashion house...I didn't know that.
